lose scroll in preset Filters Bar drop down

It's kind of annoying to only have 8 pre-set filters visible in the drop down box before having to scroll in the Filters Bar. The scrolling really slows me down every time I want to choose a pre-set filter that's not part of the visible 8. Why can't the scroll control detect whether scrolling is truly needed. I have plenty of screen real estate for at least 30 pre-set filters before having to resort to scrolling.
