Up to now, I was manually positioning Resource Assignment Panel "under" the Filters Bar. I was also "manually" positioning the Search Result panel to the right of the Notes panel, which would cover up part of the Notes panel because the Search Result panel wasn't "docked".
I only realized that you can dock panels under each other and side-to-side when I saw the demo screen here:

I could see that the Filters Bar was "under" the Categories Bar and that Resource Assignment Bar was "under" the Filters Bar. I didn't realize this was possible and I was trying to do something similar by manually positioning panels.
The docking is a great feature of the product but some docks are not as obvious as others. It would be helpful if there was a demonstration of the different dockings available. I thought I understood all the possible ways panels can be docked and I was even going to make a feature request to allow having panels "under" each other and "beside" each other, but when I saw your demo screen I realized that I can already do this. _________________ -- Misha

Ok. Moreover, some people find difficult to bring the panels back to their position, because to dock them they need to drag a panel to the very edge of the screen. I think we could devote a video lesson to it. |
