Often I filter by a certain date and then I want to create a task due on that date. Unfortunately, the default due date seems to be the last due date that was entered which is not helpful. It would be better to have VIP guess that the default due date for a task is what the current date filter is. This is similar to how when I filter by a category and then I create a new task, VIP guesses that the new task’s default category is the same as the currently filtered category - this is very handy. I'd like the same behaviour but for default due dates. _________________ -- Misha

New Filters panel will work somewhat different from the one we have now. We would like you to take a look at it (tomorrow will be released) and if you still want it to work the way you suggest please let us know. |

I love the new filters bar - saving filters is a great improvement! Yes, this feature request is taken care of by the new filters bar. Keep up the great work. _________________ -- Misha

Sorry, I spoke too soon. The new Filters panel is excellent at FINDING specific tasks based on saved criteria. But what I was referring to was when you CREATE a task, the default due date should be the current due date filter. So if I'm viewing tasks that are due in 2 days and I hit CTRL-ALT-A the default due date is the date 2 days from now. If I'm viewing tasks that are due today, the default due date is today's date. _________________ -- Misha

Ok. We agree that your variant is more intuitive so we will change it in the next update. Thank you for making our application user friendly. |
