Bug in Team To Do tasklist tree

I mostly use the tasklist in Team To Do List with the a sort of resource/priority (might be the default one?). Today I needed to get a list by category so I changed the sort to category/resource.... I needed to only see some resources so I began to expand only those categories/resources whose task details I wanted to look at.... ...but I would get 4 or 5 expanded and then clicking on another one would result in a previously expanded task collapsing. I tried doing an expand all... and then collapsing those I did not want to see and the same thing happened - tasks I wasn't clicking on would collapse themselves so that I wasn't able to see the information I wanted. It was kind of like the click event was being fired multiple times or fired for a + / - icon which the mouse pointer wasn't pointing at.

I was using 2.4.3 (evaluation - still has 9 days left) and downloaded 2.4.4 with the same result. I tried using both a mouse and the built-in touchpad on my laptop with the same result.

My list has approx 96 tasks spread over 15 categories (some top level, some sub-categories) and 10-14 resources (some tasks with one resource, some with several).
