Task Management Software
"This software rocks golden. Have been looking for this thingy a long time now. My search is over." |
Tommy Hofton - Eggedal, Norway |
" Although I use Microsoft Outlook I found that
the task tracking in your software has a better view and layout than Outlook. I like
the way that icons can be used for different categories, and the different colours
that are used in the main task list make it easier to get an overall
picture of outstanding issues." |
Christopher Jones - Arundel, AU |
"I have a purchased copy of VIP Team To Do List. Has to be one of the best products I have ever purchased. Well worth it." |
Chad Lindsey - Honolulu, HI |
"I like the layout, categories, sorting, filters, and customizable print report. I love being able to change info on multiple tasks at once & being able to right click to change info on tasks." |
Imelda Armstrong, - Salt Lake City, UT |

New school year: start it a different way
|
Teacher's work is very hard, as it includes a lot of activities that must be accomplished. Most teachers take some work (like unchecked copy-books) at home. So they spend their time on checking these copy-books, instead of, spending this time on their family.
How to get more free time? Where to find time to accomplish everything that was planned? These and the same questions bother teachers all over the world. Here are several tips that can help you in changing old stereotypes:
|
- Try to group as much activities as possible.
- Use your free time better. As it is well known that every teacher has a lot of interruptions during the day, try to use every minute you have with benefit.
- Every teacher has minimum five activities a day. Most often these activities are: phone calls, e-mails, discussions, reading and filling. But, how to group them to use your time more productively? For example: You can combine phone calls with e-mails. If you receive calls and messages on your cell phone, just turn off the sound and turn on a voice mail, later you can see all your calls and messages and decide which of them you need to answer immediately and which of them can wait. It is very useful if you can screen the calls on your normal phone, so you can answer important calls and unimportant calls can be simply missed.
As for e-mail, you also can turn off the sound of incoming messages and look through them in any free 15 minutes you will have.
- Discussions. Prepare all questions and tasks that must be discussed in advance, so you can cover all points during one meeting.
- Articles and publications. If you need to read some articles and publications to improve your professional level, set a certain time and date of doing this. And if you get some new information, just keep it together and look through it in a certain period of time.
- Don't file each item as it comes. As soon as you will have many items to fill in, it will be easy to fill them at once.
|
However, all these recommendations are effective if you have the suitable way of planning your day and activities. If you work with computer, you can use software and store in it all information you need. VIP Organizer is just such kind of software. It allows you to create a task list, set on each of your task priorities and status, date and time you need to complete each task, add notes to your tasks. Also you can set a reminder and receive notifications on your desktop or even on your cell phone, so you will never forget to do your tasks and each of them will be done in time, and the main thing is that you will have more free time.
