If your goal is to increase the overall productivity of operations there are two main principles how to maximize employee productivity: personal motivation and better work environment..

It is great when the employee is interested in the specific task, and want to see the finished product when it would be completed and understand his or her importance in this project as a whole. The essential goal of the manager in motivating employee is to give to each employee a sense of playing a dynamic, integral role in something much larger, no matter what level of input a particular worker has in relation to the business process.

Motivation is not always positive. The worker must understand that if the level of his work is low, that can easily shrink the productivity margins at a devastating rate. Most of people are afraid of loosing their job. If a manager sees that the employee might potentially turn around and perform well under the right conditions, the manager can find some ways of penalizing. |
