Freelancers: Planning appointments and to-do's when working at home

For most people (like freelancers or women who have kids) working at home is more suitable than working in the office. The main advantage of such work is that you can decide which time is more suitable for you to work and do your work when you want. In spite of this, work at home also has disadvantages, as in the office you can concentrate on your work, while at home there is always some housework and many other interruptions which don't allow you to concentrate on your work quite enough. So, the main problem of freelancers is in separating work life from personal life. Here are several tips that can help freelancers to become more organized:

Don't mix business tasks with personal tasks. Don't plan professional and personal appointments for the same time. If you still have some personal and professional tasks that must be accomplished during the same day, time periods between them must be long enough.
- Use one calendar for your personal and professional tasks. If you write down your tasks and use desk calendar, you can color your personal tasks in one color and your professional tasks in another color to separate ones from others. - Divide your tasks to appointments and to-do's. Keep your appointments only in calendar and the rest of your tasks in your to-do list.
