Task Management Software
"This software rocks golden. Have been looking for this thingy a long time now. My search is over." |
Tommy Hofton - Eggedal, Norway |
" Although I use Microsoft Outlook I found that
the task tracking in your software has a better view and layout than Outlook. I like
the way that icons can be used for different categories, and the different colours
that are used in the main task list make it easier to get an overall
picture of outstanding issues." |
Christopher Jones - Arundel, AU |
"I have a purchased copy of VIP Team To Do List. Has to be one of the best products I have ever purchased. Well worth it." |
Chad Lindsey - Honolulu, HI |
"I like the layout, categories, sorting, filters, and customizable print report. I love being able to change info on multiple tasks at once & being able to right click to change info on tasks." |

Employee scheduling in Access: advantages and disadvantages
|
Employee scheduling in Access is one of the popular tools powered by Microsoft to plan and manage employee time and tasks. Along with MS Project and MS Outlook, MS Access is used in employee management. Functionality for time scheduling allows you to use forms and templates for setting long-term objectives, daily goals, tasks and deadlines. Although some users regard this database programming tool as useful and efficient for corporate employee management, there are several disadvantages that make other users look for alternative solutions. Let’s view these disadvantages.
|
There are two major disadvantages that make Access software unsuitable and unattractive to small-sized companies. These disadvantages are IT expertise and system requirements.
- IT Expertise. If you have ever tried to use Microsoft Access in planning and managing tasks of your workers, you probably know that this program requires IT expertise and experience in application development. MS Access is a powerful database programming tool but usual users can’t utilize it without required knowledge and expertise. If you’re one of those users you can’t create templates and forms for Microsoft Access . You’ll have to gain necessary IT experience or hire a professional programmer who will help you with creating and configuring Access templates and web forms.
- System Requirements. Using Microsoft Access software can be problematic for small companies because this program requires high-performance computers and MS Server. This disadvantage is about expensiveness. Not every small company will be ready to spend a considerable amount of money resources on purchasing high-performance computers and administering Access databases stored on MS Server.
By considering these two disadvantages of using MS access software it is reasonable to say that small companies are likely to try alternative solutions available at lower prices. Employee scheduling in Access will be best for larger organizations having IT departments and teams of programmers and developers that can create and configure e Access templates.
