Task Management Software
"This software rocks golden. Have been looking for this thingy a long time now. My search is over." |
Tommy Hofton - Eggedal, Norway |
" Although I use Microsoft Outlook I found that
the task tracking in your software has a better view and layout than Outlook. I like
the way that icons can be used for different categories, and the different colours
that are used in the main task list make it easier to get an overall
picture of outstanding issues." |
Christopher Jones - Arundel, AU |
"I have a purchased copy of VIP Team To Do List. Has to be one of the best products I have ever purchased. Well worth it." |
Chad Lindsey - Honolulu, HI |
"I like the layout, categories, sorting, filters, and customizable print report. I love being able to change info on multiple tasks at once & being able to right click to change info on tasks." |
Imelda Armstrong, - Salt Lake City, UT |

Activity diagram software as a single solution and a built-in tool of task management software
|
The possibility to generate activity diagrams and charts to reflect the workflow in visual view is a very important idea. When a manager tracks tasks and actions of employees, it will be helpful to see task performance in graph view with help of activity diagram software. Then the manager will be able to build single and group charts. Such software allows to represent employee task performance in a convenient visual view. Good and up-to-date activity charts are an integral part of the task tracking process and helps the manager run projects more effectively.
|
While activity diagram software is a single, independent solution to prepare diagrams and charts, it brings some benefits like automatically creating almost any type and kind of diagrams to reflect the workflow in visual view. At the same time, independent such a program requires additional investment and also integration with existing software for task and workflow management to create a single working environment.
On the other hand, built-in tools of task management software for preparing activity charts bring less functionality but still allow to create several necessary and useful diagram examples. In additional, built-in data vizualization tools won't require extra money.
So the decision whether a company needs standalone activity diagram software for creating any kind of charts or a built-in tool of task management software for building several kinds of diagrams depends on those requirements that the company's senior management raises before the project manager. If the manager needs to build task charts, Gantt diagrams, and process flow charts, then a complete software solution will be required. And when the manager uses several kinds of activity charts to review task performance and track the workflow status in visual view, then a built-in tool of existing task management software will be enough.
VIP Task Manager has such a built-in tool. The Charts panel includes the following diagram examples: Pie Chart, Line Chart, Bar Chart, Columns Chart, and Area Chart. Like any activity software, VIP Task Manager allows to print out diagrams and charts. If you don't need to apply complex software to visualize task performance in a project, you can use VIP Task Manager.
If you're using a licensed copy of VIP Organizer and would like to build charts in VIP Task Manager, you can upgrade the existing copy to VIP Task Manager.
